Phos Copper Brazing Alloys and Preforms
The Phos-Copper family of brazing alloys permits the brazing of copper to copper without use of a brazing flux. Phos-Copper brazing alloys are also suitable for joining copper based alloys (brass and bronze), silver, tungsten, and molybdenum with the use of a brazing flux. A go-to brazing filler metal in the HVACR industry, phos-copper brazing alloys generally possess corrosion resistance equal to that of copper. Phos-copper brazing alloys include a variety of compositions and melting temperature ranges, and can be heated by a variety of methods. To prevent the formation of brittle intermetallic phosphide compounds, these brazing alloys should not be used on ferrous or nickel based alloys, or alloys with more than 10% nickel. Choose from a huge selection of brazing wire, brazing rod, and brazing strip products. Phos-Copper brazing preforms are available in a wide range of shapes and sizes.
